This means that a new iPhone repair package may be better for customers than the iPhone 4S repair kit that it sold before, Business Insider reports.
The upgrade to the iPhone 5S comes with an additional 10 months of service, which could make repairing your phone easier than ever, but it may not be the best option for customers who don’t want to spend hours in the Apple Store, Business Insiders points out.
Apple has also increased its repair warranty coverage by $5 per phone, which will also increase the cost of repairs, BusinessInsiders reports.
Apple plans to offer a repair kit in the next few weeks for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
A replacement will cost $150, and a new phone will cost between $400 and $700, the company says.
If you’re looking to upgrade to an iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 plus, you can get the iPhone repair upgrade for $99 or the iPhone upgrade for an additional $199.
Apple also plans to launch an iPhone repair app in the near future, but this won’t be available until at least next year.
